Base your goals on what you want for your future, not on your history. Your goals should stretch you, and create a need for personal development and growth. Remember in reaching for your goals, it is what you become in the process toward achieving your goals that is important.
A friend once told me. "Dennis, when you set your goals don't let your history interfere. You will become what you need to become along the way." Many people let their history or their past experiences rule them. If they do, they may never achieve what they really want or what they really are capable of achieving. Set your mind to the task of working each day towards the goals and life you want to create.
You are the creator of your life.
